1. Introduction

Sharia Quant ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Sharia Quant platform, website, or mobile application.

By accessing or using Sharia Quant, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information (Google OAuth)

When you create an account or sign in using Google OAuth, we request access to your basic profile information. Specifically, we collect your:

  • Name & Profile Picture: Used to personalize your account dashboard and identify your profile.
  • Email Address: Used as your primary account identifier, to communicate important service updates, maintain your AI research credits balance, and provide customer support.

We only request the minimum information necessary to provide our services. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or any other Google services.

2.2 Usage Data

We may collect information about how you interact with the platform: Crypto assets searched, Reports generated, Platform usage activity, Device and browser information, IP address and approximate location.

When you are signed in, we record which of our tools you use and on which days (for example the Bitcoin Lab and its replays, the Supply & Demand Index, your portfolio or the zakat calculator), so we can see which tools are used and improve them. We record only the tool and the day, not what you do in it: not your trades, balances, drawings or the coins you look at.

2.3 Technical Data

We may collect: Cookies, Log files, Analytics data, Device identifiers. This information helps us improve performance and security.

2.4 The chat assistant (Ask ShariaQuant)

When you use the chat assistant on our website, this is what happens to what you write:

  • Your questions and our answers are kept for 90 days, so we can see what people ask and improve the answers, then deleted automatically. We store your country, not your IP address. To enforce fair-use limits we keep a scrambled version of your IP address for up to two days.
  • Questions our own pages cannot answer are sent to Google's Gemini AI to write a reply. We use Google's paid service, under which Google does not use what you send to improve its products. We never send Gemini your name, email or account details.
  • Wallet recovery phrases and private keys are stopped on our server: if a message looks like one, it is not sent to Gemini and not saved. Never share them with anyone, including us.
  • A note to the team: if you sign in and leave a note, we keep your name, email, note and the page you were on so we can reply to you. We use it only to reply, unless you tick the box to also get our emails. We keep it until you ask us to delete it.
  • WhatsApp: if you message us on WhatsApp from the chat, that conversation happens on WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

To protect the assistant from automated abuse, Vercel BotID checks in the background that requests come from a real browser. The chat's answers are research and education, not a fatwa or financial advice.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Provide Shariah compliance analysis for crypto assets
  • Improve our AI research models
  • Maintain platform functionality and security
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve user experience
  • Develop new features

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. AI and Research Use

Sharia Quant uses artificial intelligence models to analyze cryptocurrency projects and evaluate potential Shariah compliance factors.

The results provided are research insights and automated analysis, not definitive religious rulings. Users should consult qualified scholars for formal fatwas.

5. Cookies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login sessions, improve website performance, analyze user behavior, and enhance user experience. Users may disable cookies in their browser settings.

If you arrive through an affiliate's referral link, we store their Whop username in a cookie for 30 days so they are credited if you buy. It holds nothing about you.

6. Data Protection

We implement security measures including secure authentication, encrypted data transmission, protected databases, and access controls. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Third-Party Services

Sharia Quant may rely on third-party services such as authentication providers, cloud infrastructure, analytics tools, and payment processors. These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies.

8. User Rights

Users may request to access their data, update account information, delete their account, or request data removal. Requests may be sent to our support contact.

9. Children's Privacy

Sharia Quant is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
