Is APEX (APEX) halal or haram?
Not screened yet
We have not run our Shariah screening on APEX yet, so we are not giving a ruling on this page. What is below is what we have gathered and checked ourselves, without any AI: where the coin lives, its supply, what its own blockchain says about who can freeze or create coins, and the project's own documents.
What it is
ApeX Protocol is one of the leading decentralized exchanges (DEX) redefining the way users trade and earn in crypto.
The basics
- Where it lives
- token on ethereum (also on arbitrum-one)
- Circulating supply
- 155,047,458 APEX
- Maximum supply
- 1,000,000,000 APEX
- Category
- Decentralized Exchange (DEX), Exchange-based Tokens, Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
What it runs, and where its revenue goes
Per DefiLlama on 2026-09-23, ApeX Protocol runs 2 product lines: Apex Omni (Derivatives, $492K in fees over 30 days); ApeX Pro (Derivatives).
Per DefiLlama on 2026-09-23, $246K reached ApeX Protocol token holders in the last 30 days (Apex Omni $246K). How, in DefiLlama's words: 50% of fees used to buy back APEX tokens on a weekly basis on random days of the week.
Figures from DefiLlama. Whether any of this income is permissible is part of our screening.
Who controls the coins
Read from the token's verified contract on Ethereum (0x52a8845df664d76c69d2eea607cd793565af42b8) on 2026-09-23: no function in the contract can block, freeze, move or burn a holder's tokens, or pause transfers. It also has mint (capped, held by an account we could not identify); what these allow is checked at screening. Nobody can call addMinter any more: that power was given up. It is not upgradeable.
Whether anyone can freeze a holder's balance, or create new coins, is part of our screening. This much is read straight from the blockchain, so it is already established before any screening runs.
