Is Definitive (EDGE) halal or haram?
Not screened yet
We have not run our Shariah screening on Definitive yet, so we are not giving a ruling on this page. What is below is what we have gathered and checked ourselves, without any AI: where the coin lives, its supply, what its own blockchain says about who can freeze or create coins, and the project's own documents.
What it is
Definitive is an onchain trading platform democratizing advanced trading tools for the masses.

What it runs, and where its revenue goes
Per DefiLlama on 2026-09-23, Definitive runs one product line: Definitive (DEX Aggregator, $774K in fees over 30 days).
Per DefiLlama on 2026-09-23, $155K reached Definitive token holders in the last 30 days (Definitive $155K). How, in DefiLlama's words: From October 1, 2025, 10% of revenue funds EDGE buybacks and 10% funds EDGE staker rewards
Figures from DefiLlama. Whether any of this income is permissible is part of our screening.
Who controls the coins
Read from the token's verified contract on Base (0xed6e000def95780fb89734c07ee2ce9f6dcaf110) on 2026-09-23: mint lets a 2-of-3 multisig wallet (0xf6ba…f071) create new tokens, with no cap in the code. Its code can be replaced by whoever holds the upgrade power.
Whether anyone can freeze a holder's balance, or create new coins, is part of our screening. This much is read straight from the blockchain, so it is already established before any screening runs.
