Main Street USD

Is Main Street USD (MSUSD) halal or haram?

Not screened yet

We have not run our Shariah screening on Main Street USD yet, so we are not giving a ruling on this page. What is below is what we have gathered and checked ourselves, without any AI: where the coin lives, its supply, what its own blockchain says about who can freeze or create coins, and the project's own documents.

Screen MSUSD now Runs our full screening and publishes the verdict on this page.

What it is

Who controls the coins

Token on Sonic. Its contract's source code is not published where we can read it, so who can freeze or create tokens could not be read from the chain. The same coin is deployed on other chains: on Ethereum (0x4ba01f22827018b4772cd326c7627fb4956a7c00), setMinter lets a 3-of-4 multisig wallet (0x0eae…1858) appoint any address to create new tokens, with no cap in the code. Whether those are the project's own copies or an unrelated bridge's is checked at screening.

Whether anyone can freeze a holder's balance, or create new coins, is part of our screening, and it is checked there.

The project's own sources

Checked on 23 September 2026. Every address above was fetched once to confirm it loads.
