TempleDAO

Is TempleDAO (TEMPLE) halal or haram?

Not screened yet

We have not run our Shariah screening on TempleDAO yet, so we are not giving a ruling on this page. What is below is what we have gathered and checked ourselves, without any AI: where the coin lives, its supply, what its own blockchain says about who can freeze or create coins, and the project's own documents.

Screen TEMPLE now Runs our full screening and publishes the verdict on this page.

What it is

TempleDAO is designed on strong principles: building the Temple for the long-term, community first and fairly in all aspects, and prioritising stable wealth creation.

What it runs, and where its revenue goes

Per DefiLlama on 2026-09-23, Temple DAO runs 2 product lines: TempleDAO (Reserve Currency); TempleDAO Trade (Dexs).

DefiLlama does not track revenue to token holders for Temple DAO.

Figures from DefiLlama. Whether any of this income is permissible is part of our screening.

Who controls the coins

Read from the token's verified contract on Ethereum (0x470ebf5f030ed85fc1ed4c2d36b9dd02e77cf1b7) on 2026-09-23: no function in the contract can block, freeze, move or burn a holder's tokens, or pause transfers. addMinter lets a 2-of-4 multisig wallet (0x4d61…a950) appoint any address to create new tokens, with no cap in the code. It is not upgradeable.

Whether anyone can freeze a holder's balance, or create new coins, is part of our screening. This much is read straight from the blockchain, so it is already established before any screening runs.
