USDai

Is USDai (USDAI) halal or haram?

Not screened yet

We have not run our Shariah screening on USDai yet, so we are not giving a ruling on this page. What is below is what we have gathered and checked ourselves, without any AI: where the coin lives, its supply, what its own blockchain says about who can freeze or create coins, and the project's own documents.

Screen USDAI now Runs our full screening and publishes the verdict on this page.

What it is

USD.AI is a yield-bearing synthetic dollar backed by loans against AI hardware, compute, and DePIN assets.

The basics

Where it lives
token on arbitrum-one (also on ethereum, plasma, base)
Circulating supply
306,302,128 USDAI
Total supply
306,302,422 USDAI
Category

Who controls the coins

Read from the token's verified contract on Arbitrum (0x0a1a1a107e45b7ced86833863f482bc5f4ed82ef) on 2026-09-18: setBlacklist lets a 3-of-3 multisig wallet (0x5f0b…841f), as admin of BLACKLIST_ADMIN_ROLE and so able to appoint itself, block or freeze a chosen holder's tokens. It also has mint (held by an account we could not identify); what these allow is checked at screening. Its code can be replaced by whoever holds the upgrade power.

Whether anyone can freeze a holder's balance, or create new coins, is part of our screening. This much is read straight from the blockchain, so it is already established before any screening runs.
