Find out if a coin is halal

This is the loop everything else on the site hangs off, so it is worth learning properly. There are two routes, and which one you take depends on whether anybody has screened the coin yet.

Route one: it is already screened

Open the screener. Every asset we have ruled on is there, filterable by verdict, and the list runs past two hundred.

Click through to a coin and you land on its report. The verdict sits at the top, but the verdict is the least interesting part of that page. Underneath it is the reasoning: what the project actually does, where its revenue comes from, whether the token carries a claim on anybody's debt, and which specific thing decided the ruling.

Read that part. A one-word label you cannot check is worth very little, and the whole reason those pages exist is so you can disagree with us specifically rather than in general.

One thing people miss on first visit: the ruling is given per activity, not per asset. Holding a token, staking it, and lending it out are three different transactions. A coin can be perfectly fine to hold and not fine to lend. The report separates them, so check the row that matches what you are actually planning to do.

Route two: nobody has screened it

This is the common case for anything small or new, and it is the reason the screener exists at all.

Open the AI screener, type the asset, and run it. That spends one research credit and returns a full report: property status, the three prohibitions, revenue purity, debt thresholds, and a fundamentals section on the project itself.

It takes a couple of minutes rather than the week it would take you by hand.

The part worth knowing

Anything you screen gets added to the public database. You are not just answering your own question. The next person who searches that coin finds your result, free, without an account.

That is deliberate, and it is why the plans are priced the way they are.

In one line: check the list first, screen it yourself if it is missing, and read the reasoning rather than the label.

What you can do now

Look the coin up first. If it is not there, screen it yourself, and the result joins the public database for everyone else.
