The Shariyah Review Bureau is licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain as a Shariah advisory firm. It certified the Rain exchange (2019), was appointed by CoinMENA in January 2021 to run its Sharia certification and audit, and confirmed XRP as compliant in 2025.
It publishes assessments of individual coins, researched by Mufti Faraz Adam and peer-reviewed by Mufti Irshad Ahmad and Shaikh Muhammad Ahmad, with several reassessed on 21 January 2026. Its research also concludes that yield from lending platforms is riba (2020) and that margin, futures, perpetuals and leveraged tokens are non-compliant (2025).
